A Little About Practical Dad

When my wife and I were first thinking about kids I was much more hesitant about the idea than my wife. Obviously when my kid came, I loved her more than I can explain. However, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t hard. The normal day to day things definitely were more stressful for me than my wife (mostly because she just has more patience than me). Every time I fed my kid or changed their clothes I always felt like it was always harder than it needed to be. It just seemed the gear we had for our kid wasn’t practical. The worst offender was the clothes. Sure it was adorable seeing my daughter in fun clothes, but for me it wasn't worth the hassle of getting on clothes with 12 buttons and sleeves that felt like were cutting off circulation to my daughter's hands. That is why I started my company Practical Dad. I wanted to make clothes for parents who were like me. Parents that love their kid but wanted to make things just a little easier.

Also, as my daughter had to spend multiple days at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Practical Dad will donate $1 to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s charitable foundation for every onesie sold.
